Many of us try to lose weight by dieting, by taking some slimming pills and exercising irregularly but we seldom succeed and end up being demoralized. Here are some tested and sure shot ways to lose weight successfully. If one follows these tips weight loss can be a thing of past.

  1. Start Exercising with brisk aerobics
    Yes wear those jogging shoes and start exercising.  Exercising for at 30 -45 minutes speeds up your metabolism and it is the very first step towards your weight loss journey. Exercise makes you feel good and helps in shedding weight.  You can do jogging, brisk walk, swimming or play your favourite sport.
  2. Have a healthy breakfast
    Many people tend to skip breakfast in order to lose weight. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and should never be skipped. You will feel lethargic and weak without proper breakfast. In fact breakfast is one meal which prepares you for the rest for day and is most helfpul meal for weight loss.
  3. Take more protein in diet
    Protein plays a very important nutreint for weight loss. Include eggs, chicken, yougurt in your diet and other foods that are good sources of protein. For vegetarians soya bean, paneer, yougurt, chickpea are good sources of protein. Including more protein in diet helps in losing weight faster.
  4. Eat smaller portions
    When eating food always eat smaller quantity. Avoid eating too much food at one time. Eat in a smaller plate
  5. Eat nutritious food
    Include nutritious food that contain essential vitamins and minerals. Take lot of green vegetables. Substitute you regular lunch or dinner with a plate of salad. Take plenty of fibrous foods like fresh fruits.
  6. Avoid sedantary lifestyle
    Watching too much television, spending more time working on computer, laptop or mobile phone is making our lifestyle more and more sedantary. Try to work on a standing desk instead of sitting. Take regular breaks and go for short walks between break.
  7. Reduce your dinner meal quantity
    One of the main reasons for weight gain is heavy dinner. Taking a very light dinner will play a crucial role in your weight loss. Reduce the quantity of food in your dinner and see the difference in few days.
  8. Eat dinner early
    When we eat dinner late our digestion and metabolism becomes slow. Eating dinner early can speed up weight loss.
  9. Drink plenty of water
    Drink at least 2-3 liters of water a day. This will give you feeling of fullness and the urge to eat will be under control
  10. Avoid too much sugar
    Sugar adds to your weight problems, so cut down on sugar. Avoid sugary and aerated drinks. Take very little or no sugar in tea or coffee. Go for healthy vegetable juice or coconut water. Do not indulge in pastries, cakes, chocolates or ice creams. It is ok to satisfy your craving once in a while with a small portion of your favourite food but do not overdo this for more than once a week.
  11. Include spices
    Spices like green chillies, red chillies, pepper and traditional kitchen spices are helpful in loosing weight as spices help in boosting metabolism.
  12. Take enough sleep
    One should take a good night sleep of minimum 8-10 hours which aids in weight loss. Being stress free and able to sleep well is very important to recharge body.
